Ella no sabía cuánto tiempo había pasado.
When Wings Feel Heavy: Living in Search of Purpose.
She didn’t know how much time had gone by. The notion of time had dissolved, like a river vanishing into the immensity of the ocean. At times, she wondered if she had truly lived the past six years or if she had merely been a spectator of her own existence. The details were there, engraved in her memory, but the emotions were absent. It felt as though those moments belonged to someone else, someone who had forgotten what it meant to feel.
In her eagerness to hold on to what she once believed was important, she slowly lost herself. She had shaped so many parts of herself to fit, to hold on, to never let go, that in the end, she no longer knew who she was. And so, without realizing it, the day came when her lips uttered a truth she didn’t even fully understand: ‘I have no goals. She said it with indifference, not realizing the weight of those words. But time, always patient, showed her what they meant: without goals, there is no path to follow. And without a path, all that’s left is to float, trapped in an endless loop where days fade one after another, leaving behind only an empty echo.
Her only motivation had been simple: to stay alive. But the question silently haunted her: is being alive enough? Isn’t there something more that gives meaning to the constant beating of a heart?»
The days continued their course, and she felt static, as if the world spun fiercely around her while she remained trapped at a fixed point. It wasn’t the world that weighed on her; it was herself. Her inability to find a place, a purpose, a home within it.
And yet, in the midst of that stillness, something began to change. A spark, small but brave, started to burn deep within her. It wasn’t big, but it was enough to remind her that she wanted more. More than surviving, more than existing. She wanted to live, truly live. With purpose, with intensity, with soul.
She promised herself that she would stop running on autopilot, that she would learn to listen to the inner voice she had silenced for so long. Because, even though her wings carried the weight of the world, and flight felt distant and exhausting, she wanted to keep trying. The same wings that once bent under the weight of her pain now sought a wind to lift them, a sky that would make them feel free again
